Yoshiwara's House of Sin

Less than a mile south of the Fredersen Tower lies the second most famous place within the confines of the upper city, Yoshiwara's House of Sin.

Yoshiwara's is a popular hang out for the rich, famous, popular and powerful, only those that "look" like they belong are even considered for admittance. It's proprietor, Sheridan, has been given special privileges when it comes to the running of his business. as long as he keeps the festivities inside the walls of his establishment, the masters would allow him to operate unabated. The reason for this special treatment is that the "Club of the Sons" frequent the club regularly.

Inside Yoshiwara's all forms of illicit activities take place, from the consumption of all manner of alcohol and the popular drug Maohee, to showgirls performing on elaborate stage sets to sex in the back rooms.  Young women make a good living in Sheridan's establishment provided they do as the patrons ask.

The establishment is open from 6:00 PM sharp until the waning hours of the morning. The opening of Yoshiwara's is a spectacle every night, with a large gong by the front door being struck four times with the final one being administered by Sheridan himself.

Though the crowds do get rowdy, Sheridan has hired muscle to remove the troublemakers.
