Yoshiwara's House of Sin




Less than a mile south of the Fredersen Tower lies the second most famous place within the confines of the upper city, Yoshiwara's House of Sin. 

Yoshiwara's is a popular hang out for the rich, famous, popular and powerful, only those that "look" like they belong are even considered for admittance. It's proprietor, September, has been given special privileges when it comes to the running of his establisment. As long as he keeps the festivities inside the walls of his establishment, the masters would allow him to operate unabated. The primary reason for this special treatment is that the "Club of the Sons" frequent the club on a regular basis.

The outside of Yoshiwara's is a marvelous spectacle with bright lights, fireworks and music pulsating out into the streets below, luring the young, the rich and the powerful into its clutches

Inside Yoshiwara's all forms of legal and illicit activities can be partaken of. This includes, but not limited to, high stakes gambling and the consumption of all manner of beverages. Drugs, including the popular drug Maohee, is readily available for the asking. Pretty showgirls perform exotic routines on elaborate stage sets, while others make themselves available for more promiscuous activities in the back rooms.  A young women can make a good living in September's establishment, providing they are willing to sell themselves out.

Yoshiwara's is open from 5:00 PM sharp until the waning hours of the night. The opening of Yoshiwara's is a spectacle every evening, The word "Yoshiwara" can found in the evening sky, delivered by fireworks exploding over the skyline, a large brass gong situated by the front door is struck four times leading up to the opening of the doors, with the final strike being administered by September himself.
