IE "Zapper"Electrical Impulse Rod - by John McBride

Made of an advanced alloy, this 18" rod looks to have nothing more than a trigger attached to one end. The rod can be stylized to look like many other items ranging from a Lightning bolt to the male appendage.
The "Zapper" works by electrical impulse, and is designed to disrupt/overload the human nervous system. The "Zapper" was designed for Police Depts., Security companies and Prison Corps to help control those that would normally overpower employees of said entities. The "Zapper" affects those with higher reflexes the most.

*For each reflex point over 5 the victim is at a -1 to their stun save. If the save is failed, the person hit will take 1d6 damage - BTM and be rendered unconscious for 15 minutes. Upon waking up, the victim will have a splitting headache & be at a -2 REF, INT, & Cool for one hour (aspirin may help). If a save is made, the victim only takes 1d6 damage - BTM.
The "Zapper" does not work on full conversion borgs as they are shielded against this form of "charge"
Unless Insulated, Armor has no effect on the "Zapper"

M.C.P. Smartmines (Bombs With Brains) - by Robert Laib

Developed just before the start of the Fourth Corporate War, Smartmines are becoming a 'goldmine' for M.C.P.. Smartmines use a combination system of proximity sensors and IFF recognition. Once the mines are placed, the person(s) are equipped with a small transmitter which broadcasts a specific frequency, determined by the buyer upon purchase. While transmitting, the person is able to walk right over the mine without detonating it. However, should someone who's not wearing a transmitter walk over the mine, the mine will detonate.

But what keeps the explosion from detonating others close by? There are two failsafes to stop this from happening. The first is the proximity sensor. M.C.P. has designed the sensor to be aimed upwards. This way, a person can walk right next to them without setting them off. The second reason is the explosives themself. Each mine is shape charged to detonate upwards rather than out. This combination of upwards motion is paticularly lethal as the person catches the explosion at point black range.

Sensor range on the mines are approximatly 50m up. This way, low flying intruders will be picked off while planes and other high flyers will remain safe. The blast radius of a smartmine is low, about 3'. However, the blast range up is about 75m.

Also note: Smartmines are typically set close to the surface with just enough ground to cover them. This helps to avoid setting off others with debris. Unfortunatly the same cannot be said for flying body parts. There is a 2% chance, per mine set within 1 foot of each other, of
detonating another one near by. This percent decreases per mine detonated.
