Batclimbing

During the 1966 Batman series, there were several cameos by actors popping their head out of a window while Batman and Robin were climbing by. The more notable celebrities were Dick Clark, Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis Jr. and of course the Green Hornet and Kato. The “special effect” is shown above, West and Ward would walk on a floor that looked like the side of a building, then the scene would be filmed sideways.

George W. Trendle (1884-1972)

George W. Trendle, creator of the Lone Ranger and Green Hornet, was born this day 136 years ago.

George Trendle (center) is seen in the photo below with various members of the Green Hornet crew. He was 83 when the Green Hornet appeared on ABC.Van Williams as the Green Hornet (far left), Bruce Lee as Kato (far right), and William Dozier, Executive Producer (second from right).
