75 years ago, August 6th, 1945 the B-29 Enola Gay drops the first atomic bomb, which detonates over Hiroshima at 8:16 a.m. at an altitude of 2,000 feet, which killed 70,000 people with the initial blast.

The Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall remains standing after the blast.
On August 9th, another nuclear bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, 6 days following that attack, Japan surrendered to the Allies on August 15.
